Role Description

Berendsen Fluid Power is looking for a motivated and hands-on first-year Apprentice Fitter Machinist to join our Dandenong VIC branch.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys working with their hands and is keen to learn a practical trade. You don’t need to have experience in hydraulics - we’ll teach you the skills you need through a combination of on-the-job training, TAFE and support from experienced tradespeople.

What does a Fitter Machinist do?

A Fitter Machinist works with tools, machinery and mechanical components to help build, repair and maintain equipment. In our hydraulic workshop, this can include learning how to:

  • use hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery safely
  • measure, inspect and prepare parts
  • assist with fitting, assembling and repairing hydraulic components
  • support basic machining tasks under supervision
