Role Description

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking an Airfield Electronics Technician to support a unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia. This role involves ensuring Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems meet operational standards and government requirements through routine inspections and certifications. The Airfield Electronics Technician ensures compliance with OPNAVINST and the Shore ATC Systems Maintenance Policy while supporting critical airfield operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct ground inspections to ensure that all ATC systems are operating within baseline standards, tolerances, and government superseding requirements.

Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of ATC systems and equipment in accordance with OPNAVINST and the Shore ATC Systems Maintenance Policy.
