Overview

Macarena Carrascosa and Adrián López, the founders of Corrigan Arquitectos, have carried out a renovation project as an experiment in itself: a hybrid space that explores new ways of living through materials, light, and environmental sensitivity.

It deliberately moves away from conventional functional or typological schemes, revolving around an environmental question: what if climatic and sensory conditions were the starting point of architectural design? In this approach, architecture does not arise from the program or intended use, but from the conditions that make presence possible. It is not about establishing the boundaries of rooms, but about regulating variables like temperature, light, humidity, sound, and degree of privacy.
