Assistant Controller

Description
We are looking for an Assistant Controller / Controller (DOE) to support the financial operations and reporting for a well-established service company near Sumter, SC. This role is hands-on role supporting the day-to-day general ledger management, ensuring accurate account reconciliations and related journal entries, and supporting month-end and year end close procedures.

Responsibilities:


• Perform and review account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of month-end close procedures.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related reports.

• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.

• Proficiency in intermediate Excel functions and tools.
