About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Automation Technician to join a high-performing team supporting underground mining operations at Ernest Henry.
This is not a purely IT or trade role, it sits at the intersection of automation, networks, and heavy equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and optimisation of autonomous and semi-autonomous mining systems, supporting a fleet of underground loaders and associated control systems.
Working across both field and control environments, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring systems remain operational, troubleshooting issues in real time, and keeping production moving.
Some key responsibilities include:
Troubleshoot and maintain underground automation systems (e.g. Sandvik AutoMine, fleet management systems)

Diagnose faults across hardware, software, network, and operational systems
