Position Overview

Senior Backend Engineer – Full‑time, permanent. Startup in the Fintech/Credit space, greenfield project, located in Takapuna, North Shore. Onsite required. Modern, non‑legacy tech stack. Salary range 130k‑160k NZD per annum plus ESOP. Visa support available for qualified candidates; a valid NZ work visa is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Lead Engineer and Founder on product direction and customer needs.
• Interact with early users and customers to deeply understand their problems.
• Mentor the first engineering team as it grows, focusing on senior-level guidance.
• Hands‑on coding and shipping are central to this role.

Qualifications

• 6–14 years of hands‑on backend development experience in C#/.Net, Java, Ruby, or similar.
