Category Manager

Overview

Reporting to the Director, Category Management, the Category Manager is responsible for the management of selected categories in the convenience store retail environment. This role includes contributing to setting the strategic direction of the category, vendor management, and initiatives required to achieve sales and profit objectives.

Responsibilities

• Negotiates supply agreements and manages vendor relationships with preferred convenience store suppliers, for assigned categories.
• Manages product assortment and specifications to identify and address opportunities to maximize sales and margin.
• Develops and communicates business plans that maximize sales, margin dollars and margin percentage.
• Identifies items to maximize promotional and marketing strategies to meet sales and margin goals.
