Role Description

Chef – Full-Time (Victoria)

WestCana is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team in Victoria on a full-time basis.

Position Details:
Schedule: 4-on, 3-off schedule (9:00 AM – 7:00 PM) under an averaging agreement

Wage: $34.58 per hour

Chef Responsibilities:
Directs and manages kitchen, laundry and housekeeping staff

Purchases the best quality and most cost-effective products that will meet or exceed the individual and group dietary needs of the facility’s residents.

Provides leadership and direction to all support staff while following policies and procedures; organizing and directing staff orientation, scheduling and assigning work.

Works with the departmental leadership team, maintaining or exceeding facility quality standards and special dietary requirements.
