Role Description

Position Overview
Working as a member of the Health Records Team the incumbent is responsible but not limited to assembling inpatient discharges & daycares, assigning deficiencies, providing, maintaining and processing health records. Utilizes computer systems to obtain information necessary to retrieve/file reports and heath records.

Experience
One (1) year experience in a hospital Health Records Department required within the last two years or;
One (1) year medical office experience required within the last two years.
Terminal Digit (TD) filing required.
Experience working with both electronic and paper health records preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
Successful completion of a recognized Medical/Surgical Office Assistant or Health Information Management program preferred.
