Construction Technician for Underground Projects

Become an Underground Construction Technician with Valard Construction in Calgary, AB, supporting the Green Line LRT project. This hands-on role focuses on installing essential underground infrastructure.
You'll report to the Foreman and work collaboratively on tasks that include excavation, cable installation, and using various construction equipment. Gaining skills in reading construction drawings while prioritizing safety will be key. This position requires both physical stamina and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pour and construct temporary support structures accurately
• Operate mini excavators and backhoes for underground work
• Excavate shallow trenches and reinforce them appropriately
• Maintain documentation including timesheets and inspections

Requirements:
