Containerized Waste Processing Technician I

**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Processing Technician ensures safe, effective treatment and handling of containerized wastes by properly receiving, screening, unloading, treating and tracking incoming waste streams and outgoing residuals.

**PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Reviews, signs, and processes incoming manifests, noting any discrepancies.
+ Directs off-loading operations for receipt of primarily non bulk containers into the facility’s storage systems for process and handling.
+ Uses handheld bar code scanner as the primary internal recordkeeping system to ensure the safe, effective handling and inventory of containerized wastes.
+ Forklift operations to facilitate the handling of all non-bulk containerized wastes.
+ Collects and analyzes waste samples.
+ Consolidates like-wastes wherever possible in order to improve economic outcomes.
+ Store waste containers properly in all designated plant storage areas.
