Job Description

The position of Claims Litigation Counsel at Definity involves independent carriage of tort litigation files, including trials, appeals, contested motions, cross‑examinations, discovery examinations, mediations, and the preparation of court documents. The role requires reviewing and analyzing evidence, interviewing witnesses, conducting out‑of‑court examinations or questionings, engaging and instructing experts, and providing client reporting and legal opinions. The Counsel will negotiate settlements, draft settlement documents, and delegate tasks to support staff while maintaining a varied litigation practice covering property damage, construction, bodily injury, and subrogated claims.
