Role Description

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Coxswain to support unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and navigate boats and other watercraft.

Ensure the safety of passengers and crew onboard.

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the vessel.

Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vessel readiness.

Adhere to maritime laws and regulations.

Monitor weather conditions and adjust plans accordingly.

Handle docking and mooring operations safely.

Operate and maintain navigation and communication equipment.

Coordinate with port authorities and other vessels.

Manage emergency situations and perform rescues if necessary.

Keep accurate logs of trips, maintenance, and incidents....
