Role Description

Job Responsibilities:
Database Administration & Optimization – Administer, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL or Sybase databases, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and query optimization.
Resilience & Continuity – Implement and maintain HA/DR solutions such as replication, clustering, and failover strategies to secure uninterrupted operations.
Automation & Scripting – Streamline DBA tasks through automation using Shell, Python, and T-SQL to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Incident & Compliance Management – Act as L2 escalation for incidents, problems, and changes; perform root cause analysis on high-severity issues, and enforce security compliance (RBAC, encryption, auditing).
Projects & Global Support – Lead database migration, modernization, and optimization projects while supporting Asia and EMEA operations with coverage aligned to Paris time zone schedules.
