Datacom Field Operator

Elia Belgium, part of The Elia Group, is a European transmission system operator ensuring reliability and sustainability of electricity supply in Belgium. We are looking for a Datacom Field Operator to support building a sustainable, green, and reliable energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the daily schedule for regional Datacom activities in collaboration with the supervisor.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on all Datacom technologies (optical fibre, copper cables, modems, telephony, PDH E1, SDH, Ethernet, IP, DWDM, etc.).
• Install and test Datacom technologies in accordance with current safety and quality procedures.
• Contribute to the evolution and expansion of the Datacom network to guarantee a reliable and high-performance data communication network for applications in substations, service centres, dispatchings and data centers.
