DSP SW Engineer (Madrid)

Responsibilities

• Channel Modeling: Model optoelectronic components (e.g., laser drivers, Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIA)), photonics (e.g., VCSEL, PIN photodiodes), and optical transmission effects (e.g., chromatic dispersion (CD), effective modal bandwidth (EMB), modal noise (MN), and mode partition noise (MPN)), understanding their impact on signal distortion, both linear and nonlinear, noise and jitter.
• Algorithm Development: Invent, simulate, and validate energy‑efficient DSP algorithms both in floating-point and fixed-point precision. These algorithms will be used for adaptive AM‑SS blocks calibration, adaptive channel equalization, timing recovery, symbol synchronization, FEC encoding/decoding, and signal quality assessment for both electrical and optical physical layers.
