**Job Description:**

NOTE: This role is based in New York City and encourages a minimum of two days per week in the SoHo office. Some roles or teams may require additional in-office attendance if the essential functions of the role require it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Editor, 0-8 Publishing, will identify, acquire, and develop high-quality and commercial board books, novelty books, and select picture books for the Children’s Book Group, under the direction of the Editorial Director, with a goal of fulfilling revenue growth and developing opportunities for IP exploitation across all divisions of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Acquire and edit 12-15 titles per year, focusing primarily on commercially-driven board books and novelty for the Cartwheel list. Proactively identify, evaluate, and pursue opportunities for new publishing and development/adaptation of new and existing IP, including active participation in collaborative ideation.
