Electrical Designer (building services and solar)

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Electrical Designer to join our growing engineering team specialising in Building Services and Solar PV projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, drafting, and coordination of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, residential, and renewable energy developments. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects involving building electrical infrastructure, embedded generation, and solar PV systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services systems including:
  • Lighting and small power
  • Distribution boards and reticulation
  • Earthing and lightning protection
  • Fire detection and security systems
• Prepare Solar PV system designs including:
  • Grid-tied and hybrid systems
  • Inverter and panel layouts
  • Cable sizing and protection design
  • Battery energy storage integration
