Electrical Reliability Engineer

Position Summary

Marathon Petroleum Company (MPC) is seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer to support the Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas City, Texas. This position is responsible for developing and executing plans, programs, and processes to maintain electrical equipment and systems across their lifecycle, reducing safety, environmental, and economic risk and ensuring compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards. The role provides technical support on high-priority reliability and operational issues and partners with cross‑functional teams.

Candidates should bring experience with industrial electrical systems (preferably refining/petrochemical) and a strong working knowledge of systems up to 15 kV, including electrical safety, hazardous area classification, power distribution/protection, motors/controls, and electrical studies. Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, and API standards is expected.
