Engineering Section Manager

Job Title: DTL Rolling Stock, Section head Major Responsibilities Manage, lead and motivate the Engineering Trains Unit to achieve quality, cost and availability targets which meet customer needs. Develop and control the Engineering Trains Unit budget. Develop, manage and execute plans for maintenance of engineering trains Ensure that procedures, processes and instructions are available for staff and/or contractors to undertake overhaul and repair tasks safely and to the correct technical requirements. Lead supervisory teams in developing maintenance techniques which enable maintenance and overhaul tasks to be undertaken in ways which provide high quality at least possible costs. Lead the management of safety in the Engineering Trains Unit section. Responsible to upkeep and maintain department key document such as Department Maintenance Plan.
