Position Summary


The Apprentice Electrician supports Journeyperson Electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems as part of the Voyageur Trades Program. This entry-level role focuses on developing essential electrical competencies through supervised work, in-house training, and community service projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with wiring, conduit installation, fixture mounting, panel work, and troubleshooting basic electrical issues.

  • Support reading and interpreting basic electrical diagrams and code requirements.

  • Participate in in-house electrical fundamentals training through Voyageur Trades.

  • Complete general labour duties including material handling, prep work, cleanup, and tool maintenance.

  • Follow all electrical safety standards and program safety protocols.
