Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Frontend Developer skilled in Flutter for one of Canada's largest independent retailers. The successful candidate will be working on the store systems team to support the modernization of their in-house POS system used across hundreds of stores. The developers will work in a fluid, team-oriented setting, helping design resilient, offline-capable UIs for retail settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend applications using Flutter and Dart across mobile and desktop platforms (not mobile-only).
• Leverage Flutter desktop experience or working knowledge of .NET/C# and Linux/Unix environments.
• Implement Flutter’s native state and UI architecture and ensure offline-first, resilient UIs for store environments.
• Build and maintain retail/POS-style front ends (sales, returns, inventory, operations).
• Consume backend APIs effectively in environments with unreliable network conditions.
