Forensic Pathologist

Overview

Shared Health Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB, R3C 3H8) invites applications for a full-time Forensic Pathologist position to support province-wide medico-legal autopsies and hospital-based autopsies as required. The autopsy workload for the province is approximately 2000 cases per year, distributed among nine forensic pathologists. The successful candidate will join a team of pathologists and participate in departmental academic activities, training pathology residents from the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, and providing instruction to allied health professionals.

The department provides in-house toxicology and histology services, with access to consultation from staff in the Pathology Department. In addition, three full-time neuropathologists provide regular neuropathology services and consultation, and forensic odontologists and an anthropologist are available.
