Formworks Engineer

Job Description

The Formworks Engineer is responsible for designing, planning and overseeing the installation and dismantling of temporary formwork structures used to support concrete until it gains sufficient strength. They ensure the safety, structural integrity and efficiency of formwork systems used in the construction of buildings, bridges, tunnels, and other concrete structures.

Responsibilities

Design and Planning

• Develop and prepare formwork drawings, layout plans, and material take-offs.
• Select suitable formworks system (e.g., conventional, modular, or custom systems) based in structural and site requirements.
• Coordinate with Structural and Civil Engineers to ensure design aligns with project specifications.

Project Execution

• Supervise the installation and dismantling of formwork on-site.
