Gas Engineer

Job Description

NCO2 Team Leader responsible for locating and repairing public reported gas escapes. Assist in making safe and repairing gas service pipes or mains, re-assessing previously visited escapes, laying mains and services, and carrying out mains/service isolations. Must have exceptional customer service skills, enthusiasm for promoting safe working practices, while driving efficiency and maintaining compliant ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leader duties
• Attend gas leaks
• Groundwork excavations and reinstatements
• Utilise appropriate signalling, lighting and guarding
• Ensure cable avoidance
• Deliver equipment and tools where required
• Patrol and plant protection
• Work on deep excavations up to 2.5m
• Work on a standby rota system
