Position Summary

The Laboratory Medicine Department at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH), part of Interior Health, invites a hematopathologist to join its growing hematopathology division. KGH is a regional referral hospital providing specialized surgical, medical, and oncology services to 500,000 people and is the regional trauma and main cardiac services/surgery centre. KGH is adjacent to the BCCA-Kelowna centre for the Interior, which provides medical and radiation oncology services and brachytherapy for a range of oncologic conditions. Locally, there are six hematologists providing local and regional outpatient consultation services. KGH also has a busy provincial referral oncology centre for the Interior (BCCA-Kelowna), including management of high-grade myeloid disorders.
