Role Description

Job Summary

The Intern, Safety is responsible for improving safety performance by augmenting CN’s reliance on Safety Information and Technology (I&T) as well as automating current safety processes. The incumbent explores various dimensions of workplace safety as well as learns and uses computer skills to improve CN safety programs. During the internship, the role receives the Manager’s guidance and expertise to ensure successful implementation of projects. The position uses initiative, drive for continuous improvement, and effective communication to ensure that the projects achieve the set objectives.

Major Responsibilities

· Support Data and I&T in ongoing large projects

· Help review safety process to identify opportunities for automation

· Support data migration activities

· Develop documentation to improve user experience

· Redesign CN’s Safety SharePoint Site*
