Role Description

Intimate Partner Violence Worker - Response Team

Location: Saskatoon

Responsible for providing risk assessments and targeted interventions to individuals and couples affected by intimate partner violence, working in partnership with the Saskatoon Police Service and community service providers.

  • Conduct risk assessments to determine individualized interventions.
  • Provide safety planning, crisis counseling, crisis management, and outreach services.
  • Process referrals for high-risk situations and accompany police officers to community locations, including home visits.
  • Assess relationship dynamics, identify concurrent risks, and evaluate potential for unsafe environments.
  • Mitigate or decrease risk by providing individualized supports and making referrals as appropriate.
  • Advocate and liaison on behalf of clients.
