Role Description
DutiesMust be able to be physically present regularly (2 days a week at minimum!) on the UTM campus to lead weekly labs/tutorials, office hours, meetings with the instructor, etc. Applicants must explicitly indicate their in-person availability, not remote availability in the application system. Applicants who do not meet these availability requirements will not be considered. Run the tutorials, marking assignments and tests, answer emails, hold office hours, attending a weekly TA meeting, and occasionally develop/present additional tutorial material. Minimum Qualifications Excellence in CSC343H5 or equivalent. Strong knowledge of SQL, relational algebra, and relational design theory (functional dependencies, normal forms etc). Experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB, DB transactions, and concurrency control. Experience with map reduce, big data analytics, and data visualization is an asset.
