Inventory Controller

A global award-winning client in the automotive industry seeks an Inventory Controller to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Ensure that all inventories are accounted for correctly in terms of IFRS;
2. Consider and manage tax risk associated with inventory;
3. Complete month-end/quarter-end/year-end procedures related to inventory;
4. Complete month-end reporting/quarter-end reporting related to inventory (split of inventory balance, disclosure checklist etc.);
5. Ensure all off-site stock is reported monthly to the insurance department to ensure adequate insurance of stock;
6. Calculate and post stock provisions. Assess the need for additional provisions to address identified risks;
7. Prepare general ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis. Identify items requiring follow-up – ensure such items are cleared from the reconciliation (e.g. aged items). Clear any review notes on the reconci...
