Role Description

About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor – Development, the UG Jumbo Offsider supports development drilling activities by assisting the Jumbo Operator with all tasks required to safely and efficiently complete development mining cycles. You will play a hands‑on role in ground support installation, equipment preparation, workplace housekeeping and ensuring development headings are ready for safe drilling and blasting.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
Offsiding the Development Jumbo Operator, including de‑rigging, re‑rigging and loading bolts on the boom as required

Installing ground support per design using MDX, PAR1 resin, split sets and Posimix bolts (training provided)

Reading and understanding primary development designs and survey memos once trained

Supporting all aspects of development mining including levels, declines, inclines and turnouts
