Laboratory Analyst

About the Position

The Laboratory Analyst 1 is responsible for all aspects of laboratory analysis including production, time management, quality control and turnaround time.

Specific Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparation of standards, stocks, and materials
• Operates Basic and Level 1 analytical instruments
• Generates work lists and organizes analytical runs
• Prepares complex sample extractions, preparations, and analyses
• Calibrates, maintains, and troubleshoots Basic and Level 1 analytical instruments
• Assists with training of other staff in the department
• Reviews and writes SOPs
• Performs Quality Control approval review
• Carrying out all required work scheduling and planning activities
• Completes all data processing (calculations, data review, data entry, archival, etc.) and required record‑keeping & documentation
