Lead Accountant

ABOUT THE ROLE
Ensure the smooth operation of Hilti (Hungária) Szolgáltató Kft.’s accounting, taxation, bookkeeping and reporting systems, while actively contributing to process improvements, automation and regulatory compliance.
The role reports directly to the Finance & Accounting Manager and works closely with local and group stakeholders.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage end to end general ledger accounting, ensuring accurate, complete and timely recording of financial transactions Lead and execute monthly and annual closing processes in accordance with IFRS and Hungarian Accounting Standards (HAS), including journal entries, accruals, provisions and estimates Perform regular balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, investigate variances and ensure resolution of discrepancies Prepare, review and submit VAT and other tax returns, ensuring compliance with Hungarian tax regulations and internal policies Drive process standardization, automation and efficiency improvements within th...
