Mainframe Backup Operations Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Backup Operations & Administration
• Manage and monitor dailymainframe backup operationsusingCA 1.
• Ensure successful execution of scheduled backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis.
• Validate backup logs, reports, and error messages to ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Resiliency & Disaster Recovery
• Supportdisaster recovery planning, testing, and executionfor mainframe environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, and DR teams to ensure systems can be restored within agreed RTO/RPO objectives.
• Maintain accurate documentation for backup/restore and DR procedures.
• Governance & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and data retention guidelines.
• Provide audit support related to backup and recovery controls.
