**Summary:**
The role of an MTM starts from the early concept phase of the Product Development Process (PDP) where they collaborate with Product Development (PD), Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME), and suppliers with development of a manufacturing process flow and intent. This translates into development of a Product Manufacturing Plan (PMP), line layout and Equipment/Fixture (E&F) plan that matures through the NPI cycle. MTM is responsible to ensure overall FATP line readiness to enable NPI builds and its execution, and is also accountable for key manufacturing metrics including first and last pass yield, cycle time study (UPH) and efficiency. MTM actively program manages and drives failure analysis and corrective actions (FACA) for Major Issues List (MIL) issues identified during the NPI builds to achieve these metrics.
