Role Description
Cameco is seeking a Mining Safety Specialist to enhance safety measures at its uranium sites. This role is pivotal in implementing health and safety standards across the organization.
In this position, you will provide technical guidance to Cameco’s Safety and Health Management program. You will evaluate safety processes, offer training support, and advise on hazard mitigation to ensure the highest safety standards are met at mining locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support health and safety at mining sites both on-site and remotely
• Identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies
• Develop performance metrics and safety reports
• Provide expertise in industrial hygiene and ergonomics
• Review incident data to spot risks and improvement areas
