eBay is building eBay Live, a live shopping platform, and is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to develop and evolve the service.

What You’ll Do

Translate requirements into software design and write clean, efficient, extensible, and maintainable code.

Apply evidence‑centered design to make features testable and maintain high quality through continuous delivery.

Manage project features, break them into sub‑tasks, and identify and resolve issues for efficient execution.

Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and coach teammates.

Identify gaps across systems, propose solutions, build engineering roadmaps, and drive resolution.

Lead end‑to‑end testing quality improvements to increase delivery velocity.

Own release, on‑call support, and operations for a 24/7 live site.
