Role Description
Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct liquid penetrant inspection.
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects.
- Interpret and document liquid penetrant inspection.
- Interpret conductivity meters and visual indicators.
- Interpret radiographs.
- Prepare surface for liquid penetrant inspection.
- Use electromagnetic eddy current testing methods.
- Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards.
- Calibrate, test and interpret ultrasonic equipment.
- Set up, calibrate, operate and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Instruct and supervise trainees.
- Maintain test result reports.
