+ 3 years of experience with one or more optical technologies such as optical transceivers, optical metro, or long-haul Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) systems.
+ Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.

**Preferred qualifications:**

+ Experience with network equipment manufacturer or network operator in engineering or design role.
+ Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).
