Role Description
Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Painter to support a unique Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.
Job Responsibilities
Perform preservation, surface preparation, coating, and finishing tasks aboard facilities, structures, or assigned work areas in accordance with Navy and program standards.
Prepare surfaces by removing rust, corrosion, old coatings, and debris using hand tools, pneumatic tools, grinders, sanders, and other approved equipment.
Apply primers, paints, coatings, and sealants using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment following technical instructions and safety requirements.
Support corrosion-control activities, including chipping, scraping, sanding, masking, and coating of various surfaces.
