**Job Title:** Phlebotomist (Lab Tech)

**Minimum rate of pay** : $17.04 per hour Performs phlebotomy, specimen receipt, processing, specimen distribution, computer order entry and/or requisition completion, and other pre-analytical tasks as required. Tracks specimens through appropriate computer functions when available, to ensure that all specimens are routed accurately and in a timely manner. Assures complete and accurate patient samples, patient demographics, and diagnosis codes are provided, and submits to the laboratory for testing.

**Required Qualifications:**

**Education**

+ High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of phlebotomy, medical assistant or patient care technician training.

**Experience**

+ Previous phlebotomy experience preferred if formal training and certification as a phlebotomist is not obtained.
