Unit Summary

The Michael G. DeGroote Pain Clinic is the largest university-affiliated pain centre in Canada. It provides inter professional clinical care to patients with chronic pain, as well as specialized training for health care professionals.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Medical Director, the Physician Assistant (PA) will work under the direct supervision of the Physician. The candidates will support the priorities of Ontario’s Patients First: Action Plan for Health Care by providing access to quality care for patients who require specialized pain management, and by promoting the health and quality of life of acute and chronic pain sufferers. PA patient care duties may include:
• Completing comprehensive and focused health histories
• Performing comprehensive and focused physical examinations
• Performing procedures as determined by MGDPC physicians
