Postdoctoral researcher in quantum algorithms and optimization

About the Position

We are looking for a Postdoctoral researcher in quantum algorithms and optimization to support the Micro and Quantum Systems (MQS) research group in the Electronics and Nanoengineering department.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct research into quantum algorithms and optimization methods, covering theoretical and practical implementation aspects.
• Advance research projects of the MQS group and explore experimental possibilities in quantum optics.
• Produce world‑class results and publish in high‑impact journals.
• Supervise doctoral students and contribute to teaching activities within the group.

Candidate Profile

• PhD holder with strong record in theoretical physics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
• Solid background in quantum computing and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in English (Finnish not required).
