Procurement Engineer - MEP

Job Purpose

The incumbent is responsible to study and understand the requisition of materials from the various jobs/contracts, source for ideal suppliers, negotiate the optimum prices and manage appropriate logistics for delivery. He will effectively manage the inventory levels as per the prescribed norms.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the superior in procuring materials, equipment, equipment hire, labour hire, subcontracts and services to the job site according to the company's purchasing policies and procedures.
• Obtain and review quotes from suppliers, and make recommendations to the Senior Officer Purchase.
• Place orders with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, equipment hire, labour hire, subcontracts and services to the job site.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of purchases and inventory.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
