Prototype Buyer

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently seeking a Prototype Buyer to join our PowerDrive System business unit team. The Prototype Buyer will be responsible to will be responsible works in a professional level to quote, negotiate, select, and place purchase orders for all prototype components and outside services.

Organizes the Prototype Procurement kick-off meeting (PKO) with the program team to discuss the build schedule, potential design risks, and any required component expediting.Prototype Buyer defines the sourcing strategy and starts a new prototype program tracking sheet to manage the daily program activities.


Key responsibilities


+ Send request for quote (RFQ) package to qualified supply base which includes: 2D print (released or un-released), 3D model, specifications, quantity, and material requirement date (MRD).

+ Review all supplier quotes and identify leverage opportunities for negotiations. Schedule technical review meet...
