R&D Senior Optics/ Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and optimize optical systems, components (lenses, light source, photodiode arrangement), and subsystems for specific performance criteria.
• Perform optical modeling, simulations (e.g., Zemax, Lumerical), tolerance analysis, and data interpretation to validate designs that fulfill Must‑Want.
• Develop, build, test, and evaluate prototypes with ASIC, to confirm performance and functionality per optics simulation.
• Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, mechanical, electrical, IC, test engineers) and external suppliers/vendors to materialize the design.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, drawings, and design documentation for internal/external sharing.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in optical systems, including tweaking, upgrades, repairs, maintenance, failure analysis, reverse engineering; demonstrate ability to analyze data and use various...
