Role Description

At OneSteel Manufacturing Whyalla Steelworks, we’re looking for a motivated Reliability Engineer to join our Central Engineering team. This role is central to ensuring safe, efficient operations and driving proactive maintenance strategies that keep our plant running at its best.

As a Reliability Engineer, you’ll be responsible for improving equipment performance, reducing downtime, and embedding reliability principles across the site. You’ll work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Condition Monitoring teams to deliver technical insights and practical solutions.
Key aspects of the role include:
Analysing asset performance data to identify failure modes and trends

Leading root cause investigations and driving defect elimination

Developing and optimising maintenance strategies (RCM, FMEA, PM optimisation)
