Security specialist

Our client is seeking to employ a suitably qualified the incumbent in this position will be responsible for maintaining security standards at clients site; and providing a secure workplace to protect authorized personnel, customers, suppliers, contractors, and visitors and safeguard company property.

Duties are: Compliance Ensure compliance with the South African Merchant Shipping Act and Regulations, as amended. Ensure access to the site is controlled, and the permit requesting system is adhered to. Investigate and report the cause of security accidents/incidents and near misses. Ensure security incidents are recorded in the incident management system on the K2 platform and reported to the necessary regulator/authorities. Ensure that adequate corrective action is undertaken and recommend preventative measures.
