SEN Teaching Assistant

A specialist SEN school in South Shields is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from September.

The school supports pupils with Autism (ASC), SEMH needs, ADHD and communication difficulties within a structured, nurturing and therapeutic environment. Staff work closely together to ensure every pupil receives consistent emotional and academic support tailored to their individual needs.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Assisting with classroom learning and differentiated activities
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Building strong relationships with pupils to support engagement
• Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff
