Job Description

New Directions Liverpool is seeking a dedicated Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant for a SEND school located in Ormskirk.

This long-term role, starting immediately, requires a compassionate and skilled individual to support children with Autism (ASD) and Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD). The successful candidate will work closely with students to create a positive, nurturing environment, helping them navigate their unique challenges and reach their full potential. The Role

• Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Help to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using a calm and consistent approach
• Support pupils in accessing a personalised curriculum tailored to their individual needs
